Is Delta Reign worth it?
Our take, based on the cards and products revealed so far.
For players. Mega Rayquaza ex and the other Mega Evolution Pokemon ex give Delta Reign new decks to build, and Legendary Stadiums are a new kind of card to plan around. A prerelease is the best way to try it early.
For collectors. The 14 illustration rares and 6 special illustration rares are the cards to chase, and the Legendary Stadiums' two-card panoramic art makes them a collector piece in their own right.
Worth it if
- You want a Mega Rayquaza ex deck: it is the headline card of the set.
- You collect illustration rares: there are 20 illustration and special illustration rares in the set.
- You want the Kyogre promo: it comes in the Elite Trainer Box.
Think twice if
- You only need one or two specific cards: buying the singles is cheaper than chasing them in packs.
