Into the Inkdark is the villain-led Disney Lorcana set that launches Collector Boosters and the serialised Illustrious rarity, published by Ravensburger. It launches on 12 February 2027.
The launch lineup covers two Booster Boxes, individual Booster Packs and Illumineer's Trove, so there is a way in whether you want to play from day one or open packs for the collection.

What is Lorcana TCG?
Disney Lorcana is a collectible trading card game from Ravensburger, launched in 2023. Players are Illumineers who summon glimmers of beloved Disney characters and race to gather 20 lore to win.
How a game plays
Play ink cards to build resources, then spend ink to play characters, items, actions and songs. Send characters on quests to gain lore, challenge your opponent's characters, and use abilities to control the game until you reach 20 lore.

Into the Inkdark is the fifteenth Disney Lorcana set and the first of 2027, a 204-card main set where the villains take centre stage. Hades is the plotter at the heart of it, and the story heads beneath the Inklands to a forgotten Dark Illuminary, through a valley of giant glimmers and cavernous mines. It is also the set that launches Collector Boosters and the serialised Illustrious rarity.
Collector Boosters
New product. Into the Inkdark is the first Disney Lorcana set with Collector Boosters. Each pack has 12 cards and every one is foil: Common to Epic cards get a new foil treatment, Enchanted and Iconic cards turn up at higher odds than in standard boosters, and Collector Boosters are the only place to find Illustrious cards. In the US they cost $35 a pack and $420 for a box of 12, and they are sold in limited quantities through Ravensburger Play Hub stores, the Ravensburger online store and select Disney locations.
Illustrious cards
New rarity. Illustrious is the rarest card in Disney Lorcana. There are six in each set, each with brand-new artwork and the artist's name printed in gold, and only 23 serialised copies of each are printed, a nod to 1923, the year Walt Disney Studios was founded. The first two are classic villains: Maleficent - Biding Her Time by Kendall Hale, a callback to the original Maleficent card shown at D23 in 2022, and The Evil Queen - Commanding Presence by Arch Apolar.
The Dark Illuminary
Hades's stronghold. The Dark Illuminary - Hades's Stronghold (169/204) is a location card and the setting of the set's story: the forgotten Illuminary beneath the Inklands where Hades lays his plans.

Early reveal. Tinker Bell - Return of the Giant Fairy (195/204) is a super rare and one of the first cards revealed from the set. More cards are being revealed through the run-up to release, and this guide fills in the full card list once it is out.

Is Into the Inkdark worth it?
Our take, based on the cards and products revealed so far.
For players. A villain-led set with Hades at the centre and a 204-card main set to build from. A prerelease on 5 February is the best way to try it early.
For collectors. This is the biggest collector set Lorcana has had: Collector Boosters make every card foil and raise the odds of Enchanted and Iconic pulls, and the six Illustrious cards, 23 of each, are the rarest Lorcana cards ever made.
Worth it if
- You chase Enchanted and Iconic cards: Collector Boosters give you better odds than standard packs.
- You collect villains: Hades leads the set and the first Illustrious cards are Maleficent and The Evil Queen.
Think twice if
- You are hoping to open an Illustrious card: only 23 of each exist worldwide.
- You only want one or two specific cards: singles will be cheaper than chasing them in packs once the set is out.
