Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Set Officially Revealed: All-Foil Special Set Drops September

Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Set Officially Revealed: All-Foil Special Set Drops September

After months of speculation and teases, The Pokémon Company has officially unveiled the 30th Celebration set - a premium commemorative release celebrating 30 years of Pokémon TCG. The set launches worldwide on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Premium All-Foil Experience

This is no ordinary set. Every single card in the 30th Celebration set will be foil - marking the first time a mainstream Pokémon TCG booster set has featured an all-foil composition. Each booster pack contains only six cards, but all of them will shine with foil treatment.

Due to the premium nature of the product, pricing has been adjusted accordingly:

  • Single Pack: 360 yen (normally 200 yen)
  • Booster Box (20 packs): 7,200 yen

Guaranteed Pikachu Pull

One of the biggest highlights is that every pack is guaranteed to contain one Pikachu card, with 30 different Pikachu variants available across the set. This ensures every pack feels special while giving collectors 30 unique chase cards featuring the franchise mascot.

A Long-Awaited Celebration

The road to this announcement has been carefully built:

  • November 2025: “Celebration Collection” trademark first discovered
  • February 2026 (Pokémon Day): Official teaser trailer released
  • April & May 2026: Preliminary details leaked, confirming the all-foil format and guaranteed Pikachu

The full reveal today confirms all previous reports and adds final details on pricing and exact release timing.

Japan TCG Release Schedule (Upcoming)

Collector Impact

The 30th Celebration set is clearly positioned as a luxury collector product rather than a standard competitive release. The combination of reduced pack size, all-foil cards, and guaranteed Pikachu pulls creates a highly curated opening experience.

This approach mirrors successful anniversary products in other TCGs, emphasising quality and collectibility over quantity. The inclusion of a 30th Celebration Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon on the same release date further strengthens the product lineup for both collectors and players.

With its futuristic aesthetic and premium treatment, many are already speculating that this set may introduce a brand-new rarity tier - possibly the rumoured “Futuristic Rare” - though official confirmation on specific rarities is still pending.
