The Pokémon TCG is turning 30, and The Pokémon Company is going all out. According to the official Pokémon website, the 30th Celebration expansion launches on 16 September 2026, bringing a staggering lineup of products - from mini tins and battle decks to a massive Ultra-Premium Collection. Every booster pack in the set will contain five foil cards (including one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations) plus a foil Basic Energy card, making this one of the most collector-friendly expansions in recent memory. Here’s a full breakdown of what’s been announced.
The Core Lineup - Launching 16 September 2026
The day-one product range covers just about every price point and play style you can think of. Whether you’re a casual opener who wants a couple of packs or a seasoned collector chasing every promo, there’s something here with your name on it. The key products releasing on launch day include:
- 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box - Nine booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo card, 65 card sleeves, 16 foil Basic Energy cards, damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, and six dividers. A player’s guide with deck-building tips is tucked in as well.
- 30th Celebration Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box - Everything in the standard ETB, but with 11 booster packs instead of nine and two full-art Nidorina promos - one stamped with the Pokémon Center logo. An exclusive worth hunting down if you can get your hands on one.
- 30th Celebration Booster Bundle - A straightforward six-pack bundle for those who just want to rip packs.
- 30th Celebration 2-Pack Blister - A foil Eevee promo card, a plastic coin, and two booster packs. A solid impulse buy at retail.
- 30th Celebration Knock Out Collection - Also features a foil Eevee promo, a coin, and two booster packs.
- 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection - Choose between an Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario foil promo card, each paired with a matching tech sticker sheet and three booster packs.
- 30th Celebration Mini Tins - Two booster packs, a sticker sheet, and an art card per tin. There are ten designs in total, and collecting them all creates two panoramic images themed around day and night.
That Nidorina promo in the ETB is a charming nod to the franchise’s roots - Nidorina has been part of the TCG since the original Base Set era, and giving her a full-art treatment feels like exactly the kind of nostalgic gesture this expansion is built around.

Premium Products and Battle Decks

Beyond the core range, several higher-end products round out the celebration. These lean heavily into the expansion’s day-and-night visual theme, which pairs Pokémon associated with sunlight and moonlight across the product line.
The 30th Celebration Battle Decks come in two flavours: Espeon ex and Umbreon ex. Each is a fully foil, ready-to-play 60-card deck with a deck box, coin, and playmat. Notably, the Espeon ex deck includes an illustration rare-style Victini, while the Umbreon ex deck features an illustration rare-style Zeraora. All-foil battle decks have historically been popular collector’s items - the Miraidon ex and Koraidon ex decks from Scarlet & Violet’s launch proved that - so expect these to move quickly.
For bigger spenders, the 30th Celebration Pokémon ex Box comes in Sylveon ex and Greninja ex variants, each containing a foil promo card, an oversize version of that card, and four booster packs. The Poster Collection bundles three Legendary Bird promos - Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres - alongside a poster featuring over 160 cards from the set and three booster packs.
Then there’s the truly premium tier:
- 30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection - A colourful acrylic display piece, a Ditto promo card, and eight booster packs.
- 30th Celebration Figure Collection - Mew & Mewtwo - A sculpted figure of either Mew or Mewtwo, a foil promo, an oversize card, and five booster packs per box.
- 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection - Day & Night - The flagship product. Two versions are available, one led by Pikachu ex and Espeon ex, the other by Pikachu ex and Umbreon ex. Each UPC comes with a playmat, card sleeves, a deck box, additional accessories, a whopping 29 booster packs, and one Classic Collection booster pack containing three cards from the expansion’s Classic Collection subset.
That Classic Collection booster is a detail worth highlighting. The 30th Celebration expansion includes reprints of iconic cards from across the TCG’s three-decade history, and the UPC is the only product confirmed so far that explicitly includes a Classic Collection pack. If those reprints follow the pattern set by Celebrations (2021) and its Classic Collection, expect cards like Base Set Charizard or Neo Genesis Typhlosion reimagined in modern frames - though no specific Classic Collection cards have been confirmed yet.
What This Means for Collectors
With 30 unique Pikachu illustrations spread across the booster packs, the set is practically begging for a master-set chase. Add in the Classic Collection, multiple exclusive promos, and illustration rares like Victini and Zeraora, and you’re looking at one of the most ambitious Pokémon TCG releases in years. The Binder Collection - which includes a commemorative 9-pocket binder and five booster packs - suggests The Pokémon Company expects collectors to want somewhere to put it all.
No confirmed pricing has been announced at the time of writing, but given the product range mirrors the structure of previous milestone sets, expect standard retail pricing across the board. Keep an eye on Pokémon Center and authorised retailers as 16 September 2026 approaches - some of these products, particularly the Pokémon Center ETB and the Ultra-Premium Collections, are likely to sell out fast.
